The Prestige Group has acquired West Lodge Care Home in Crook, County Durham, a family-run residential care facility registered for up to 60 residents.

Private hospital operator in Ireland, Bon Secours Health System, has opened Bon Secours Hospital, a 96-bed hospital in Ballysimon, Co. Limerick.

Aria Care is believed to have been acquired by US investment group, Welltower, in a deal said to be worth around £615 million.
