Dentex acquires two practices in Northeast England
Co-ownership model dental business Dentex has acquired Brough Dental Studio in East Yorkshire and Grimsby Dental Studio in Lincolnshire.
Brough Dental Studio is based in the town of Brough near Kingston upon Hull and provides dental referral services to the local community for implants, endodontics, restorative, periodontics and oral surgery. Grimsby Dental Studio is its large general sister practice.
The practices combined have mixed income with a total of nine surgeries between them.
Principals Dr Jason Spence and Dr Christopher Maher will continue to provide clinical treatment to their patients and step back from some aspects of practice ownership.
Chris Lekkas, partnership and acquisition manager at Dentex, said: “We are delighted to have Jason Spence and Christopher Maher partner up with Dentex. Individually they are experts in implants and endodontics at Brough Dental Studio and Grimsby Dental Studio, both excellent practices to join the Dentex family.”
Maher said: “The whole Dentex organisation is built around a like-minded group of dentists who help and support each other. The structure allows us to retain control while stepping back from some of the more laborious aspects of running and manging a dental practice which have become increasingly stressful over the past few years. Dentex has teams of experts in the background providing first-class managerial infrastructure in HR, compliance, legal, IT etc, which will allow Jason and me more time to focus on the bit we really care about, patient care and family life.”
Business property adviser Christie & Co handled the transaction. Legal representation for the seller was provided by Knights.
