Luxury retirement village provider Audley Group has appointed Nick Edwards (pictured)  to the newly created post of chief operating officer, reporting to Audley Group chief executive Nick Sanderson.

Edwards takes up his new position in December,

Edwards also becomes an executive director of the Audley Group board; he has been a non-executive director for the past five years during his tenure as chief financial officer at Moorfield Group, the private equity real estate fund manager that manages the Moorfield Audley Real Estate Fund.

Audley Group stated that this appointment signals its scale of intent as it prepares for a sustained phase of accelerated growth. It added that awareness of the demographic pressures driving the retirement living sector is growing exponentially and the benefits of retirement villages are now more widely appreciated.  

Audley Group has a portfolio of 20 villages across the Audley Villages and Mayfield Villages brands.
