Real estateCannon and Parker to leave Voyage Care
Supported living company Voyage Care has announced that its chief executive Andrew Cannon is stepping down stating: “following the acquisition by Wren House in January 2022, Andrew believes that the time is right to make way for a new CEO to drive Voyage Care forward through the exciting next phase of its development as it further expands its provision of specialist care and support and invests in putting data and insights at the core of its care model.”
Cannon has led Voyage Care for eight years. He will remain in post “until a strong successor has been appointed, recognising the importance of a smooth leadership transition.”
Voyage’s chief financial officer Shaun Parker is also leaving the company. Voyage stated: “Having informed the board in March this year of his intention to soon retire from executive roles after a long and distinguished career, Shaun has decided it is now the right time to make way for the appointment of a new CFO. He will remain in his role until a successor is appointed.”
Natalie Macdonald, chair of Voyage Care, said: “Andrew and Shaun have made an invaluable contribution to Voyage Care, working brilliantly… to deliver strong performance and high-quality care provision. They have supported Voyage Care to become a sector leader, looking to the future with significant opportunities under long-term, committed ownership. The board is focused on appointing strong leadership to deliver the next exciting phase of growth for Voyage Care, and ensuring a smooth transition aligned to our commitment of putting reliability and consistency of quality care at the heart of everything we do.”
Cannon said: “I have had the privilege of leading Voyage Care for eight wonderful years alongside a very strong senior team. I have been humbled everyday by the dedication of our amazing colleagues to ensuring the people we support live healthy and fulfilling lives. It is important to me that I continue to work closely with the board to effectively manage a smooth transition to the new leadership and I remain focused on our purpose of delivering great care and support and the continued commercial success of Voyage Care.”
