EDX Medical Group has appointed Dr Keti Zeka as head of R&D and director of laboratories and Dr Liam Dower as head of quality, regulatory affairs and compliance. Both will be based at the company’s laboratory and head office in Cambridge.
EDX Medical Group develops digital diagnostic products and services enabling delivery of personalised treatment for cancer, heart disease, neurology and infectious diseases.
Zeka is an experienced biochemist who since 2017 has held multiple research fellowships at the University of Cambridge and University College London, in addition to her commercial experience as the PCR team lead at the National Covid-19 Testing Centre in Cambridge.
Zeka said: “I’m delighted to join EDX Medical as this role provides the opportunity for me to lead a team of exceptional scientists and technologists focused on pioneering the use of digital diagnostics for the benefit of patients.”
Dower has previously held product development, quality and regulatory posts at Johnson & Johnson, Origin Sciences and Fluidic Analytics.
Dower commented: “I’m delighted to be able to bring my wide experience of the regulated medical device sector to EDX Medical at this exciting time in the company’s growth.”
