Florence, the London-based tech start-up that connects vacant care home shifts to local nurses and carers, has appointed Roberto Taracido Ruiz as chief revenue officer.

Taracido Ruiz started his career in environmental chemistry and pivoted to business and management consulting. Later he was appointed as the managing director of e-commerce marketplace Groupon Spain and vice-president of sales for Groupon UK.

Taracido Ruiz also worked at troubled officer space company WeWork where his role “required navigating complex business landscapes and fostering collaboration across diverse teams and cultures”. In addition, he worked at beauty treatment booking firm Treatwell.

Taracido Ruiz said: “Working at WeWork was an intense and transformative experience. I gained invaluable insights into business continuity and the importance of cross-cultural leadership. It taught me how to maintain stability and drive performance, even in the most turbulent times. These lessons are something I carry with me as I join Florence, where I’m excited to apply this knowledge and contribute to our mission of revolutionising healthcare staffing.

“I am beyond thrilled to join Florence and be part of a mission that is transforming healthcare staffing. Florence’s tech-driven approach is revolutionising the industry. Together, we’re going to set new standards, ensuring healthcare professionals have the support they need to deliver exceptional care.”

His strategic insights and unwavering dedication will be crucial as we continue to revolutionise healthcare staffing. With Roberto on board, we’re confident that Florence will reach new heights in delivering exceptional care solutions and enhancing the lives of healthcare professionals and the communities they serve.
