HCR Law: Caroline Barker
HCR Law has appointed Caroline Barker as legal director within HCR’s healthcare sector, specialising in healthcare regulatory services.
This move follows HCR Law’s acquisition of Ridouts Solicitors earlier this year.
Barker has practised law for 16 years, culminating in her role as chief operating officer at Ridouts Solicitors. Throughout her career, Barker has specialised in regulatory matters within the health and social care environment. She has represented various providers in adult social care and children’s services, including handling serious case reviews in children’s homes and residential special schools.
Barker completed an executive MBA from Bayes Business School (formerly known as Cass Business School) which led to a secondment within the business operations of Ridouts Solicitors.
Rebecca Leask, head of healthcare at HCR Law, said: “With HCR’s full-service healthcare offering, clients are seeking our regulatory team’s practical solutions for navigating incredibly difficult paths. We are delighted that Caroline has decided to join us as a fee earner in the healthcare sector. Her experience across the sector is invaluable, and clients welcome her involvement.”
Barker commented: “The merger with HCR Law has provided a unique opportunity to join a full-service healthcare offering, working across the entire sector with various providers. HCR’s entrepreneurial ethos and growth mindset sits well with my own values. I am excited to roll up my sleeves, dedicate my time to supporting clients, and tirelessly work to deliver the best possible outcomes for them.”
Barker will be based in HCR Law’s London office.
