Fortava Healthcare has announced Jamie Stuart as its co-founder and chief commercial officer.

The firm is a new dementia-specialised care home operator, led by Johann van Zyl who was co-founder of Cornerstone Healthcare. Stuart leaves his role as deputy head of health and social care at Virgin Money.

Stuart said: “After nearly 25 years of funding deals for other people, I’ve finally put my money where my mouth is and done a deal of my own!

“We are specialist dementia care home operators, starting with 2 lovely homes in Peterborough. We want to do dementia care differently- focus on diagnosis and bespoke care planning.”
