Digital health coaching company Liva Healthcare has appointed Sarah Beeby as managing director, UK, responsible for representing the UK market at board level and joining of the executive management team.

Beeby has founded health start-ups and been instrumental in the growth of several businesses in the field of clinical research, most recently Clinithink and Synexus.

Liva Healthcare’s chief executive André Sode said: “It’s great to welcome someone with as much experience and commercial know-how as Sarah to our team. She brings a wealth of knowledge of the clinical trials and health systems spaces, which will be key to supporting Liva’s strong partner network in the UK market. UK is a key market for Liva, and Sarah is a perfect fit for the role as she embodies Liva’s dedication to proving a truly scalable yet personalised solution, which tackle some of the world’s biggest systematic healthcare challenges.”

Beeby commented: “We know that lifestyle and behavioural change play a huge role in reducing the cases of preventative diseases like Type 2 diabetes. But historically, access to the practical and emotional support needed to make the difference has been hampered by cost and logistical obstacles. Technology holds huge potential to enable preventative care at scale, that has not yet been fully embraced. To ensure the long-term affordability of health services, like the NHS, we need to harness technology to deliver early interventions at population scale.

In the past two years, Liva has secured contracts as a provider for public and private health programmes, including the NHS’s Digital Weight Management Programme and Diabetes Prevention Programme.
