Livi: Tom Davis

Tom Davis

Digital healthcare provider Livi has appointed Tom Davis as UK medical director.

Davis will be responsible for shaping the company strategy to build its clinical operations. This will include introducing new care pathways to tackle chronic diseases and prevention, enhancing digital clinical care quality through innovation, along with expanding services into NHS England. He will work with commercial and operations teams supporting NHS trusts, private health insurers, and employers.

Davis has extensive experience as a general practitioner and as a board-level medical and executive director. He previously worked at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board as a medical director in the Central Integrated Health Community. Before that he was a senior clinical advisor in an NHS England improvement team, as well as the acting chief executive of the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust where he also held previous roles as medical director and deputy chief executive.

Livi’s chief operations officer Kalle Conneryd Lundgren said: “The NHS is under increasing pressure to improve capacity, businesses are focused on enhancing workplace productivity and employee welfare, and private health insurers are leveraging digital solutions. Across the UK, there is an urgent need for timely patient outcomes. Tom’s experience will underscore our commitment to the UK as we endeavour to help more patients access front line care through their GP and support the NHS in addressing the challenges they face.”

Davis commented: “I’m delighted to be part of the medical community at Livi and with 3,000 colleagues across Europe, we are committed to lead and integrate digital transformation in healthcare systems. Immediate access to GPs through a digital platform can significantly improve patient outcomes, whether for instant prescriptions or chronic condition management, at-home or during work hours. Services such as same-day appointments ensure more patients are seen faster, enhancing overall healthcare capacity and effectiveness.”
