Cambridge-based mental health technology provider Psyomics has appointed Dr Melinda Rees as its permanent chief executive and Dr Michelle Tempest as a non-executive director.
Rees becomes chief executive following an interim period in the post. She has had a 25-year clinical career as a consultant clinical psychologist in the NHS and held executive positions in global healthcare, digital solutions and private equity and venture capital-backed businesses.
Tempest has experience of psychiatry, healthcare innovation and strategy. She has been a partner at strategic consultancy Candesic since 2013 and has delivered projects for NHS trusts, community providers, the UK government and investors.
Rees said: “As CEO of Psyomics, I know that having Dr Michelle Tempest on the team marks a significant step in our commitment to enhancing mental health support for all, as we accelerate our work with younger generations, focusing on preventing mental health challenges in adulthood.
