Rangeford Villages: David Kanarens and Chris Jackson
Retirement community provider Rangeford Villages has appointed David Kanarens as head of operations, effective 25 July.
Kanarens has worked for seven years in the integrated retirement communities sector, most recently as operations director for the senior living providers Audley Group. Before that, he worked in hospitality and held group and leadership roles for more than 20 years in hotels and country clubs throughout the UK.
Kanarens said: “I am delighted to join the team and looking forward to using my experience aligning and embedding a high-end service culture into the senior living sector. My role will be key in guaranteeing the smooth running and continual improvement of all existing and future villages, so that residents can enjoy the high standard of service that they deserve in later life.”
Carl Dutton, director, elderly care at Compass Associates, was responsible for placing Kanarens.
Rangeford Villages has also appointed Chris Jackson as senior land manager, effective 1 August.
Jackson is an experienced land and development professional, having acquired land and managed planning applications across the country for the past eight years.
Jackson said: “It’s a very exciting time to join, as the team is in the midst of a large expansion plan with two land purchases in Surrey and Cambridgeshire already confirmed. Helping Rangeford secure sought after, desirable locations across the country will offer retirees more access to housing options that are better adapted to their needs, with the comfort of modern builds and high standard throughout.”
Rangeford Villages’ chief executive Howard Nankivell commented: “I am delighted to welcome David and Chris as part of our established team. Their new roles will form a key part in helping Rangeford secure its place as a leader in the retirement sector in the UK and taking our ambitious growth strategy forward. It’s a very dynamic time for us as a company and I am looking forward to seeing our team and villages grow.”
