Reframe Cancer: Nikki Cannon

Nikki Cannon has been appointed to head up Reframe Cancer’s cancer screening product. She will also sit on its clinical advisory board.

Cannon has over 25 years of experience with roles at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support among the highlights thus far.

The product will screen for bowel, cervical and prostate cancer via at home testing, as well as lung and breast cancer in clinic and skin cancer through the SkinVision app. Reframe’s cancer nurse specialists will be able to follow up on test results. The product can be paid for via self-pay or via part/full funding by employer or PMI.

Cannon said: “Cancer screening is so important to tackling the rising UK cancer numbers, providing this service through Reframe will enable greater access to screening at a younger age for patients as well. The importance of this cannot be underestimated, being able to do this and offer it as a workplace benefit could save so many lives.”

Chief executive Mark Stephenson added: “Early detection and cancer screening is a vital component of tackling the rising UK cancer numbers, almost half1 of all cancer cases are diagnosed at stages 3 and 4 which is too late.

“Enabling greater access to cancer screening also supports the Long Term Plan set by the NHS which aims for the proportion of cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2 to rise from around half now to three-quarters of cancer patients by 2028.”
