Reframe Cancer has appointed Professor Ben Kelly as chief operating officer.

A spokesperson for Reframe said it reflects the firm’s “commitment to delivering clinical excellence for patients following CQC registration”.

Mark Stephenson, chief executive at Reframe Cancer said: “His experience and clinical data expertise will facilitate Reframe Cancer in supporting even more patients as well as delivering industry leading outcomes.”

Reframe offers a range of services to support people affected by cancer including specialist nursing support, emotional/wellbeing support and practical support.

Kelly said: “The opportunity to improve the quality of life of cancer patients is an honour and is something I am one hundred percent motivated by and committed to. What the cancer nurse specialists and support managers achieve for patients at Reframe is amazing. I aim to do all I can to support these teams and positively contribute to the growth of this incredible organisation whilst keeping the patient front and centre.”

It follows Kelly’s 10 year tenure at Nuffield Health, most recently as data director. He had also worked clinically in cardiology and strategically across governmental groups and the independent sector.
