With a unique service offering, our client is an outsourced provider of a very specialist and niche set of services to big and mid pharma and biotech.

Private equity backed, the business is known for its top class inhouse expertise and output of the highest quality. Still small, ‘lower mid-market’ size, they have doubled in size in 18 months and are on target to double again before selling to another investor 24 months from now.

There is a need for a science led leader, with an entrepreneurial mindset, to join the high performing and low ego management team and add to this hyper successful journey of growth. The immediate responsibility is to quickly galvanise the scientific team, providing rigour, strategic leadership, governance and ensuring the business remains ahead of the curve scientifically.

This is an expansive leadership challenge requiring EQ, IQ and top-notch strategic development, whilst retaining the desire and ability to get hands on and close to the science, assisting with project work for major clients. It requires substantive medical leadership exposure gained within a top 20 big pharma business, followed by a successful short stint in biotech, facilitating or influencing significant growth.
