Optegra: Richard Armitage
Eye hospital group Optegra has appointed a new hospital director to its Birmingham hospital.
Richard Armitage (pictured) brings a varied healthcare career with Nuffield Health, including hospital management in Cambridge and Warwick, as well as business development, sales and marketing roles.
Armitage commented: “Having previously worked at generalist hospitals where you have an overview of all medical areas, I look forward to focusing purely on eye health and really immersing myself into this specific ophthalmic world.
“As a dedicated eye hospital, Optegra is a huge asset for the Birmingham community and I am eager to increase the number of patients we can treat and transform their vision and their lives.”
Optegra managing director Rory Passmore said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard who brings with him a wealth of experience from a selection of roles across the healthcare industry and can now apply that broad knowledge to the ophthalmic world.”
