Private hospital provider BMI Healthcare has announced the appointment of former Nuffield Health business development director Kevin Thompson as head of its corporate health arm, HealthFirst.
HealthFirst offers corporate health insurance plans to companies and their employees. The subsidiary is now also set to use BMI’s network of 59 hospitals across the UK to provide services including private GP appointments, health assessments, physiotherapy, imaging, pathology and occupational health.
Thompson said: “The evidence is compelling, within organisations that continually focus on developing a culture of health, where the employee is considered as important as the customers, employees tend to be more creative, more loyal and perform better in terms of customer satisfaction.”
Earlier this year, BMI launched a new general medical admissions service across 14 of its 59 UK hospitals.
