New Century Care: Mel Ramsey, Ted Smith, Peter Williamson, Nick Yarrow
New Century Care chief executive Mel Ramsey and chairman Ted Smith have both resigned from their posts at the care provider, HealthInvestor can reveal.
Ramsey, who took up the top post at New Century Care last year, will be replaced by the company’s current chief financial officer, Nick Yarrow, from 11 December.
Peter Williamson will be replacing Smith as chairman of New Century Care. Smith will stay with the company as a special advisor, however.
Yarrow said: “I am very excited by the opportunity to take up the reins at New Century Care. Having joined the business earlier in the year, I have seen first-hand the excellent work that has been undertaken to transform New Century Care and I am really looking forward to continuing that work.
“Mel Ramsey has made a huge contribution to the organisation. We would like to send our thanks to Mel for the great work she has done in the role.”
Williamson added: “I am honoured and delighted by the opportunity to lead the board of New Century Care and I look forward to helping shape the future of this very successful organisation.”
The care home group is owned by global investment firm Anchorage Capital Group. It operates 27 care homes located in the South East, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
