Biocomposites: Simon Greenhalgh and Pete Webster
Keele, Staffordshire-based medical devices company Biocomposites has appointed Simon Greenhalgh as group chief financial officer and Pete Webster as UK general manager.
Greenhalgh has extensive private equity experience having led on M&A investment and integration activities as group chief financial officer for Arlington Industries Group, where he worked for four years. Before that, he was group finance director for independent IT distributor, Gamma Global Group.
Webster has operational and strategic experience at a global level and joins from global diagnostics business BBI Group, where he was director of global technical operations for six years. Prior to that, he was the director of technical engineering with Penn Pharmaceuticals.
Biocomposites stated that its products are used in more than 120,000 procedures every year and sold in more than 40 countries. The company’s chief executive Michael Harris said: “It is an exciting time for our industry. With antimicrobial resistance and infection management at the forefront of clinicians’ minds, to manufacture and supply the only calcium matrix antibiotic carrier approved for use in bone and soft tissue gives us a very strong market position. Strengthening our management team is a key component of ensuring our continued success and I have been delighted with the support, sector knowledge and quality of candidates Lewis was able to provide.”
