Egress Group: Kieran Hughes
Leamington Spa-based healthcare data company Egress Group has appointed Kieran Hughes as chief executive.
Earlier this year Egress acquired Stalis, a provider of data services to the NHS, and in 2021 the business attracted investment from private equity firm FPE.
Hughes will lead the integration of Egress and Stalis and the delivery of end-to-end data services to NHS trusts, integrated care systems and national agencies.
Hughes has more than a decade of experience leading international teams to support large-scale digital and data integration projects in the public and private sectors. He was most recently president of Europe and Middle East for Nordic Consulting.
Hughes said: “If we are to ensure trusts and ICSs can meet the needs of patients and pivot to more preventative healthcare, we have to give them the means to get real-time access to good quality data in the right context.
“Likewise, to deliver the national ambitions for population health management and more effective care coordination, the flow and analysis of data need addressing.
“The group has built a significant reputation and footprint in healthcare that spans four decades. We are uniquely positioned to now provide the NHS with a single data partner that surfaces information for clinical, operational, financial and research purposes.”
Llewellyn John, partner at FPE commented: “We’re excited by the potential that Egress/Stalis have to help the NHS make better use of the information they hold locally and bring together data across regions to deliver better outcomes for all.”
