Dentex purchases Cornish dental business
Co-ownership model dental business Dentex has acquired two dental businesses: Revitalise Dental Centre and Dental Precision, both located close to the village of St Agnes on the North Cornish coast.
Dental Precision was established in 1995 by Martin Docking who is a clinical dental technician and has been involved in digital dentistry for more than 20 years. He developed the business with his wife and partner Lucy, and, in 2016, Revitalise Dental Centre was opened. The practices attract patients from Devon, Cornwall and across the Southwest of England.
The Dockings have been retained by Dentex to help support business growth and ensure continuity of patient care. In a statement they commented, “We are delighted to be part of the expanding Dentex group of practices and look forward to playing an active role in the future success of Revitalise and Dental Precision. The timing was right for us to hand over the reins to a larger owner and we are confident that patients and our incredible clinical and support team are in good hands.”
Simon Hughes, managing director at business property advisor Christie & Co, who handled the sales, said: “Demand for dental businesses across the region is increasing, with buyers attracted by generally better value for money and a great work/life balance. Corporate dental groups which historically viewed the region as too remote are now branching out and actively seeking acquisitions in the area.”
