August Equity has appointed former Nuffield Health deputy chief executive KP Doyle as chief executive of Active Assistance to lead a secondary buyout of the business, HealthInvestor UK understands.
It is believed that DC Advisory is running the sale process, which will now kick off in earnest with Doyle (pictured) on the management team.
Acquired by August Equity in 2011, Active Assistance provides live-in care to children and adults with complex needs including neurological, cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.
Under August’s ownership the company has expanded with the acquisitions of Neural Pathways, Qura Brain Injury Service and Communicare.
August Equity and DC Advisory could not be reached for comment.
