Healthcare specialist Apposite Capital has made two new hires.
Rory Pope (pictured, left) has joined the team as partner and will also be a member of the management board.
Meanwhile, Alexander Cunynghame (pictured, right) has been brought into the firm as an investment executive.
Pope was previously co-head of healthcare and life sciences at BGF Group and prior to that a partner at Advent International, where he was co-head of the European healthcare and life sciences team.
Cunynghame joins Apposite from Deloitte, where he was a member of the healthcare and life sciences corporate finance advisory team.
David Porter, managing partner at Apposite, said: “I am delighted to welcome Rory and Alexander to the Apposite team. Their private equity expertise, healthcare knowledge and financial skills will be valuable in supporting our investment activities as we continue to deploy Apposite Healthcare Fund II.”
The private equity house acquired Mitie’s divested home care assets and Swanton Care & Community earlier this year.
