Special education provider the Aurora Group has appointed Dan Alipaz as director of operations.
Alipaz was previously director of operations at the Ruskin Mill Trust, having first joined the group as principal at Ruskin Mill College in Gloucestershire, Coleg Plas Dwbl in Wales and Glasshouse College in Stourbridge.
He has over 20 years of experience within education, including both state and private.
In his new role, Alipaz will be responsible for overseeing the continued transformation of the Aurora St Christopher’s and Aurora Hedgeway schools in Bristol.
Alipaz said: “Aurora has a bold vision to empower uniqueness in every individual under its care and my focus will be to ensure we bring that vision to life every day, for every person at our Bristol schools.”
Stephen Bradshaw, Aurora Group chief executive, said: “Dan has a strong track record in education and his work most recently at Ruskin Mill proves he knows exactly what it takes to deliver outstanding special education services.”
Aurora is an independent provider of specialist education and care for children, young people and adults with special education and complex needs. It owns and manages two adult care homes and seven schools across the UK.
