Baroness Margaret Ford will be stepping down from her role as chairman of Barchester Healthcare, HealthInvestor can reveal.

Ford took up the role of chair of the elderly care provider in January 2012.

The recruitment process for her successor has begun and Ford will remain in her post until an appointment has been made.
