Commercial law firm Bevan Brittan has appointed James Atkins as a partner in its healthcare property team in Leeds.

Atkins joins from Capsticks, where he was an associate. Capsticks specialises in health, housing and social care. 

Atkins brings extensive experience advising on estates, including disposals, investments and new development projects.  He has advised healthcare bodies, including NHS trusts and foundation trusts, NHS commissioners and private healthcare providers.

He was recommended within the health sector in the 2016 Legal 500 directory.

Atkins said: “I look forward to working closely with my clients, with the estate aspects of Sustainability & Transformation Plans (STPs) particularly top of my mind at the moment.  Estates will be an important component in STPs, whether that’s in terms of building new premises, re-purposing existing estate, or rationalising and disposing of unwanted facilities.”
