Bupa has appointed Iain McMillan to the newly created role of head of SME intermediary development.
Taking up the role at the beginning of October, McMillan will lead the healthcare company’s growth within the small and medium enterprise (SME) market through intermediaries. As part of the Bupa business-to-business (B2B) sales leadership team he will report to business sales director Patrick Watt.
McMillan joins from AXA PPP Healthcare where he worked as director of SME, and previously as director of intermediary development. Prior to this, he was sales and marketing director at Standard Life Healthcare.
Watt commented: “I’m pleased to announce that Iain is joining the Bupa B2B sales leadership team. His breadth of experience is important at a time when there are great opportunities to grow our market share within the SME market.”
McMillan added: “I am delighted to be joining the UK's largest health insurer at such an exciting time, and look forward to working closely with Bupa's intermediary partners.”
