Avnish Goyal has been appointed as chair of charity Care England.

Goyal is founder of elderly care home Hallmark Care Homes, which own 17 homes across England and South Wales.

Care England chief executive Professor Martin Green said: “Avnish has been associated with Care England and its predecessor body, for over five years and is a well-known figure within the social care sector.

“We are delighted at his appointment as chair and are very much looking forward to working with him over the coming years.”
