Care Innovation Hub: Navin Mayani

Navin Mayani has been appointed chief executive of the Care Innovation Hub (CIH), which seeks to support and develop entrepreneurs, start-ups and leaders to create positive change in the care sector.

Mayani brings to CIH a wealth of experience in the corporate, not-for-profit and humanitarian sectors, most recently as founder and chief executive of the charity CYE-CYL.

Mayani commented: “I am delighted to join CIH at a time when we introduce ourselves to the care sector as the hub of new ideas, innovative solutions and breakthrough talent. The Care Innovation Challenge will find the right entrepreneurs to bring positive change to the sector. Our Care Innovation Club will introduce them to leaders in care to tackle the biggest challenges together.”

Alex Ramamurthy, CIH’s chairman and co-founder adds: “2018 was a proof of concept year for us. We bootstrapped the Challenge, helped create five incredible teams who built solutions to the biggest problems facing our sector today, and managed to secure support from the Department for Health and Social Care and sector influencers such as Martin Jones (Home Instead), Avnish Goyal (Hallmark Care Homes) and Vic Rayner (NCF), to name a few.

"We are so pleased to welcome Navin to the team. 2019 is going to be a big year for Care Innovation Hub as we run the Challenge again bigger and better, and trial new streams such as Care Innovation Club. Watch this space!”
