Social careCF: Jamil Anakkar
London-based healthcare data and consulting company CF has appointed Jamil Anakkar as associate partner to lead its healthcare investment team.
Working with private equity and corporate clients across Europe, Anakkar will focus on growing the company’s healthcare investment team, which provides commercial and operational due diligence, value creation and growth strategy consulting.
Anakkar is a practising registered clinician, with 14 years’ experience of working globally in healthcare and consulting. He was previously health strategy and business design lead at Accenture, where he specialised in M&A strategy.
Anakkar said: “With access to more healthcare data in the UK than any other consulting company, combined with its depth of healthcare expertise and relationships across health systems, life sciences and technology, the capability CF can offer investors is unmatched and truly unique. I’m incredibly excited to be joining such an experienced team, all of whom are true experts in healthcare and have enviable relationships with the NHS and wider industry.
“At a time where there is no greater opportunity for the private health sector, having a deep understanding of the NHS and the potential to shape healthcare delivery is critical. As CF works at every level of the healthcare system – national, regional and local – we are incredibly well placed to partner with health investors to navigate industry complexities and recognise investment opportunities, which can be misinterpreted by others. CF also works extensively with life sciences in market access, medical affairs, health economics and research.”
Ben Richardson, co-founder and managing partner at CF, said: “We are thrilled to have Jamil join us to drive our healthcare investing business. His experience in M&A and investing combined with being a practising clinician enables him to effectively support investors and businesses in creating value for patients, health systems, companies and their investors. As experts in healthcare and specialists in accessing and using healthcare data we have something different to offer.”
