Care home group CHD Living has appointed Fiona Atkinson as quality and compliance manager.
CHD Living is family-owned and operates services in Surrey, Hampshire and South London.
Atkinson began her career in care as a care assistant in 1987, qualifying as a social worker in 1992 and working across all adult care settings. She managed a mental health community-based service, before becoming an inspector for what is now the Care Quality Commission.

Atkinson said: “I’m very excited to take on this opportunity at CHD Living. It seems a wonderful place to work, very friendly and family orientated, with a passionate and energetic team where everyone is committed to doing their best. I am very passionate about what I do. My main focus is to support staff to provide the best experience possible for people who use our services. I want people to feel we care in the same way we would for our own loved one.”
Jon Stanley, chief operating officer at CHD Living, added: “We are delighted to welcome Fiona Atkinson to our team. With her passion, determination and leadership skills, we believe her innovative insight – refined after years of working within the healthcare sector – will provide an asset to CHD Living as we take steps to recover post-pandemic.”
