City & County Healthcare: Roger Booker

Former Sevacare chief executive Roger Booker has joined domiciliary care provider City & County Healthcare as chief operations officer, HealthInvestor can reveal.

Booker (pictured) was the head of Care UK’s home care division from 1995 to 2008, taking it from a small Essex-based business, delivering 5,000 hours of care per week, and building it into the third largest domiciliary care business in the UK, delivering over 125,000 hours per week. Following this post, he was the chief executive of Sevacare for five years.

Booker is City & County’s first chief operations officer.

City & County chief executive Craig Rushton said: “Roger's appointment will further enhance City & County's position as a leading provider of high quality health and domiciliary care services. It demonstrates our commitment to recruiting experienced people capable and determined to meet the challenges faced by the sector at the current time.”

Graphite Capital acquired City & County from Sovereign Capital in December 2013.
