DMC Imaging, the provider of remote radiology services, has appointed Dr Shawn Halpin and Justin Lillycrop to its leadership team.
Consultant neuroradiologist Halpin (pictured) joins as medical director, while Lillycrop takes up the position of business development manager, a role he previously held at Alliance Medical.
After graduating from King’s College Hospital in 1982, Halpin gained experience in radiology and neuroradiology, with a particular focus on brain perfusion and complex MRI techniques such as spectroscopy and DTI. He was based at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff for 24 years, and has also held the roles of chair at the UK Neurointerventional Group.
Meanwhile Lillycrop brings 17 years of experience working with commissioners, procurement specialists and clinicians, including the delivery of diagnostic solutions within the fields of MRI, CT and PET while at Alliance.
Lillycrop commented: “My number one concern is my customers. I am excited by DMCI’s commitment to investing in the latest technology and the best team of sub-specialist consultants in the country.”
Halpin added: “As a clinician, I am fully aware of the tremendous strain on NHS radiology services. I look forward to working with DMCI to deliver efficient and effective radiology reporting in order to relieve this pressure and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and commissioners.”
DMC Imaging is part of the DMC Healthcare family, which provides primary and urgent care and community services.
