Christopher Mills, the chief executive and owner of Harwood Capital Management, has been named as non-executive chairman of AIM-listed EKF Diagnostics.
The move has prompted the resignation of Ron Zwanziger as a non-executive director of EKF Diagnostics.
Zwanziger was only appointed as a non-executive director 23 October 2015 and has been the chairman, chief executive and president of Inverness Medical Innovations since May 2001. He was also previously chief executive of Alere.
Takeover talks ended for EKF Diagnostics in October 2015 after Asian company Jinjing decided not to make an offer on the group.
