Former Eden Futures chief executive Alistair How has been appointed chief operating officer at Four Seasons Health Care’s nursing and dementia care division.
How (pictured) was chief executive at Eden Futures from October 2012 until January 2015. Before this he spent a decade at Bupa in numerous roles – for instance as managing director at Bupa International between November 2009 and April 2012.
Tim Hammond, chief executive of Four Seasons’ nursing and dementia care division, said that How had an “exceptional” track record and that he had “led successful operational performance of homes up until 2010” at Bupa.
Hammond added that the move comes as part of an operational restructure at the company.
“The regional MDs, who will report to him, have been promoted from their roles of regional operations directors and given more decision making authority and responsibility, so we are de-layering management and bringing it closer to homes to increase our responsiveness to local requirements,” he said.
