Diagnostics group Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings (IDS) has appointed Patricio Lacalle as chief executive, effective from April 2015.

Currently the chief executive of medical technology firm Pulsion Medical Systems, Lacalle has also held numerous management positions at manufacturing firms Forbo Adhesives and HB Fuller.

IDS executive chairman Dr Burkhard Wittek said: “Patricio brings to IDS a strong business sense, a bias for action and great team building and leadership skills.”
