Retirement homes and residential facilities company Kingsley Healthcare Group has appointed Damithi Perera (pictured) to the newly created post of senior analyst – governance, reporting to operations director Debbie McGovern and head of governance Kathy Davies.

Perera has a degree in molecular biology and biochemistry and a master’s degree in biomedical science.

McGovern said: “This is an important new role and we’re pleased to have Damithi on-board, particularly with her excellent background in medical sciences. This appointment demonstrates the importance we place on governance and continuing improvements to our services.

Davies added: “I’m confident Damithi will be a great asset as we strive to further improve compliance at all our homes. Our goal is for all our homes to achieve good CQC outcomes and our services to be centres of excellence.”
