Learn 2 Live: Peter Crascall

Peter Crascall

Residential teen mental health clinic Learn 2 Live has appointed Peter Crascall as clinical director to develop a new clinical offering and manage its multidisciplinary and coaching teams.

From the summer Learn 2 Live will offer support and treatment for young people with mental ill-health and associated high risk behaviours. The service will provide a 10-week residential programme for children aged 14 to 18, offering comprehensive treatment for teens, and support for their families.

Crascall will help to build the clinic’s multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, family therapists, eating disorder therapists, addiction therapists, youth coaches, dieticians and sports coaches.

Crascall was previously director of clinical operations archive at Claimont Health. He is a registered mental nurse with a master’s degree in mental health studies with 32 years of practising mental health nursing.

Learn 2 Live’s founder and chief executive Luchie Cawood, said: “The role of clinical director is a hugely important appointment as we need someone who fully understands the purpose and vision of Learn 2 Live. We are thrilled to have Peter on board and helping us to build the wider team that will make a life-changing difference to the teens in our care and their families.”

Crascall, commented: “I am proud to be part of the Learn 2 Live team and very much look forward to bringing something truly new and innovative to the landscape in relation to mental health provision for under 18s in the UK. It is a challenging time for mental health services, particularly in supporting children and adolescents, and it’s my sincere hope that Learn 2 Live will provide a turning point for the young people in our care.”
