Mansfield Advisors has appointed Dr Ed Kanalosh and Dr Misha Engineer as senior advisors, to further the firm’s pharma and life sciences consulting franchise.

Both executives have experience of the pharmaceutical industry and consulting, having worked extensively across the sector.

Kanalosh is a medical doctor and currently head of M&A for Europe and South America for Global Growth Holdings, where he is responsible for originating and executing healthcare-related deals. He has worked in pharma and healthcare consulting since 2004, when he started his career in the New Jersey office of McKinsey & Company.

Engineer has knowledge spanning medicine, generics and pharma and started her career as a medical doctor in the NHS and has worked in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors since 2007. She joined Chemidex Pharma in 2008, and in 2013 co-founded Fontus Health, a branded generics business, selling her stake in 2018. She then co-founded Sundara Pharmaceuticals, an R&D and orphan drug focused company spun out of the University of Sunderland.

Dr Victor Chua, a senior partner at Mansfield Advisors who leads the pharma franchise, said: “In the past, we’ve largely focused on healthcare services, social care and education, but in the last three years, pharma and life sciences has been our fastest growing segment.
