Real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Peter Farnes as a partner in its UK healthcare team

MatOrtho, a designer and manufacturer of orthopaedic implant devices, has appointed Duncan Wilson as chief executive.
Wilson has leadership experience and a background predominantly in medical devices and has led European businesses to commercialise specialty products. He was previously vice-president and general manager for UK and Ireland and Nordics with Hillrom. Prior to that he was chief operating officer heading up the Northwestern Europe, UK and Ireland with Fresenius Medical Care.
Lower mid-market private equity group Connection Capital invested in MatOrtho last year and has provided funding and expertise to support the business in commercialising its existing product portfolio and to further the development of new implant technologies.
Connection Capital investment director, Michael Coupland said “Duncan has an impressive knowledge of our medical devices and a strong strategic vision, we are very much looking forward to collaborating with him to deliver on the investment strategy”.
Executive search agency Carter Schwartz’s head of practice, private equity, Lewis Buckley advised on Wilson’s appointment.
