McDermott Will & Emery: Sharon Lamb

McDermott Will & Emery, the international law firm, has appointed Sharon Lamb as a partner in its health practice group.

Lamb, who is also a senior associate fellow at the Nuffield Trust, joins from Capsticks where she was head of the healthcare practice. She has experience leading large, complex healthcare projects and contractual arrangements, including procurements, competition clearances, trust mergers, accountable care systems and M&A.

Her experience within UK health policy includes a four-year part-time secondment to the NHS, and she has led infrastructure projects from private finance initiatives (PFI) to local improvement finance trust (LIFT) and public-sector-funded projects.

Hamid Yunis, London health partner-in-charge at McDermott, said: “Sharon is widely known as a leading health lawyer in the UK, and we are very excited to add her to our growing team. Her extensive skills and industry contacts, coupled with the breadth and depth of our global health platform, is a powerful combination that will enable us to procure and service work across the entire healthcare market.”
