Healthcare watchdog Monitor has appointed Timothy Heymann as non-executive director. The appointment will last for three years and became effective from 16 February.
Currently, Heymann works as reader in health management at the Imperial College Business School. He is also a senior consultant physician and gastroenterologist at Kingston Hospital.
Baroness Joan Hanham CBE, chairman of Monitor, said: “His [Heymann’s] mix of extensive clinical experience and knowledge on regulation will be of real value to the decisions we take as we concentrate on making the health sector work for patients.”
