National Care Group (NCG), which provides support services across the UK, has announced the appointment of James Allen as chief executive, effective April 30.

Allen brings 15 years’ experience in the supported living and residential care industry to the role at NCG.

In his previous director role, Allen delivered year-on-year growth and profitability whilst improving outcomes for the individuals supported and their families and undertook the implementation of an operational, development and commercial strategy, which saw the group grow.

Allen was named among to top 50 Leaders in Care Report 2018 by Care Home Professional in the category Executive Management. 

Allen started his career with the NHS and spent over a decade in management roles at various NHS trusts.

Compass Executives advised on Allen’s appointment.
