Saffron Cordery will formally take on the role of deputy chief executive at NHS Providers, alongside her existing role as director of policy and strategy at the organisation.
The promotion officially recognises her role in deputising to chief executive Chris Hopson, as well as continuing to lead the organisation’s policy team in the position she took up in 2012.
Cordery commented: “I am delighted to take on this role and look forward to continuing to support Chris and the organisation in speaking clearly for NHS trusts in every sector at such a challenging time for the health service.”
Hopson said: “Saffron’s support as deputy chief executive will be invaluable. She has played a pivotal role in helping us to support our members effectively, grow our profile and speak authoritatively on a range of issues that are important to NHS trusts.”
