Digital health services provider Now Healthcare Group has appointed Alun Lucas as head of e-commerce.

Lucas has previously worked at Google and advertising company WPP, supporting clients like EE and General Motors. In addition, he has experience within venture capital, managing investments and consultancy for small businesses.

Now Healthcare, which is based in Manchester, launched its Now Patient health service app two months ago. An NHS-approved digital platform, it allows patients to manage medicines, order repeat prescriptions and connect with GPs.

Now Healthcare chief executive and founder Lee Dentith commented: “Now Healthcare Group has experienced a rapid progress over the last few months and as such, it is a perfect time for Alun to join our management team.”

Lucas said: “I am delighted to join a technology company which is at the forefront of disrupting the healthcare industry and has so many exciting opportunities to grow.”
