Healthcare property investment firm Octopus Healthcare has appointed Edward Clough as business development director.
Clough (pictured) joins from international law firm Allen & Overy. In his new role, he will focus on ensuring the investor’s MedicX Fund reaches £1 billion of investment over the next three years.
The fund specialises in purpose-built primary healthcare properties in the UK and Ireland, and currently has a portfolio of over 150 properties.
Clough will work with GPs, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), NHS England, NHS Property Services and NHS trusts to identify development opportunities within the space.
Clough commented: “I am delighted to join the Octopus Healthcare team and look forward to identifying many exciting opportunities for primary care providers, helping to ensure that patients and GPs have the best facilities possible in their local communities.”
