Healthcare property specialist Mark O’Kane has formed O’Kane Commercial, a property consultancy focused on the care home market .

Belfast-based O’Kane Commercial will advise on sales and acquisitions in the sector.

Previously, O’Kane was director at Colliers International for 10 years.

O’Kane said: “This is an exciting time in the Northern Ireland market with a number of local and national care home operators rationalising their portfolios.

“This is creating opportunities for a range of operators and investors. Furthermore, the traditional lenders are now active again and competing with alternative lenders in the local market.”
