Global healthtech company Alcidion has made three appointments to its UK-based team, with one internal promotion and two external recruits.
TechnologyOpus: Amir Zafar

London-based corporate finance advisory house Opus has appointed Amir Zafar as a partner to lead its healthcare and personal care sector team.
The Opus healthcare team has experience across healthcare services, life sciences and related supply chain and the personal care and beauty sectors and provides sector, M&A and capital raising advice.
Zafar began his healthcare investment banking career in London in 2003 with ABN Amro and then RBS, where he led the healthcare services and medical devices practice in EMEA. He joined Wells Fargo Securities in 2013 as a managing director to lead the firm’s M&A and investment banking businesses in EMEA and India for healthcare, consumer and retail sectors. Prior to moving to London, Zafar worked with Citigroup and ABN Amro across Asia.
Zafar is a special advisor at Ecclestone Associates, consultants specialising in transformation, strategy and post-merger integration. Opus and Eccleston stated that they will collaborate on opportunities within healthcare and personal care.
Dr Stephen Parker will continue as a senior advisor to the Opus healthcare team.
