Picker: Chris Graham

Health and social care charity Picker has announced the appointment of Chris Graham as its new chief executive, with immediate effect.

Graham was previously director of research and policy, and has served as acting chief executive since the retirement of the previous post-holder, Dr Andrew McCulloch, at the end of January.

Before joining Picker, Graham worked at the Care Quality Commission for several years where he oversaw a number of special studies and surveys within the national survey programme.

Picker chairman Stuart Bell commented: “We have had the opportunity to work with Chris for many years in his role as director of research and policy, and more recently as acting chief executive, and have been impressed by the leadership he has brought and his commitment to Picker's values and our mission.”

Graham said: “This is an exciting time for the organisation, as we have many opportunities to help organisations move beyond measurement to drive real improvements in people’s experiences.

“I look forward to working [with] the skilled, dedicated team at Picker to help the organisation build on its existing reputation for excellence.”
