Christina Edwards has joined Retirement Villages Group as a non-executive director.

A former NHS nurse and senior manager, Edwards (pictured) will be tasked with leading RBG’s compliance committee.

Another group appointment sees Oscar Russell promoted from estates manager to group estates director after two years at RVG.

Additionally, David Thomas has been confirmed as group care director, a role he only held on an interim basis previously.

Nigel Welby, executive chairman of RVG, said: “We are strengthening our organisational structure to support our development programme and the growth of our care business.
